| Introduction | I have three real passions. In no particular order they are cooking, triathlons and basketball. So I write about them. I know these things may seem widely different but I've found they are quite complementary. For me triathlons are really about the blending of sport and discipline and training to create ideal conditions for both racing and living effectively. Cooking is very similar. You blend various ingredients to create foods that are both appealing and nutritious. Basketball is where I learned to think about what I was doing and how I went about doing it, using the lines on the court as a sort of compass or map as they intersect right angles to form a space for creation. How you come to look at the space between the lines really determines whether you create something meaningful or not. Just like cooking, just like triathlons, just like life... |
