| Introduction | I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons). But just so you know, I'm not related to the Monsons, Hinckleys, Bensons, Cowderys or Maesers. None of my ancestors died in the Willie-Martin Handcart Company. Not one ancestor even stubbed a toe coming west across the plains by wagon (that I know of). I claim no fame whatever. My people were mostly poor farmers or laborers-- hard workers, humble-- tried to do their best. And that's my root stock. I've tried to add a little spice to that but somehow it mostly came out as sarcasm, and I'm trying to prune that out. It will, however, slip out occasionally so I'm just gonna ask for leniency right up front. |
