Introduction	I am a 44 y/o gay white man from a working class background of Portuguese ancestry with Irish & Caribbean roots as well. Politically I am left of center. I am committed to listening to many sides of issues. I ask that people discussing issues be clear & smart. I am always open to having my mind changed & I expect others to be open too. I was raised Roman Catholic & now think of myself as a spiritual freelancer with ties to Buddhism & Christianity. I blend these in ways I am finding common among many people. I hold masters degrees in psychology & theology. I fascinated by many ways human beings explore their spirituality, in organized religion, philosophy, from the traditional & the ancient to new & exciting. In discussing these issues, I hope that people with spiritual beliefs/practices will be curious about other viewpoints & be willing to acknowledge that in spiritual matters, no one is absolutely certain & we are all on journey of exploration. I am also a student of human relationships, believing, both spiritually & psychologically, that our relationships with one another are the keys to understanding both humanity & divinity.
