| Introduction | Althea felt like she was floundering in the shallows of library school before she found her fellow Bookaneers. Now a Research and Instruction Librarian at the University of Washington Bothell, she likes to keep up with the treasures that her colleagues are unearthing on The Bookaneers. Before she took to the information seas, Althea graduated with an MA in Literature from King’s College, University of London. Before that, she cut her teeth as a radical and an academic at Oberlin College. Althea is interested in information literacy, digital texts, copyright and DRM, and the history of reading--sometimes she feels like she is drowning in all the intellectual flotsam and jetsam coming her way. |
