IntroductionMy name is Holden Sukut. I've started this blog with the intention of not writing regularly. Unfortunately I am a college student and so the many weekly papers will take precedence over this extracurricular mumbling. I have also been known to be a dedicated procrastinator, so even when I find time I may not write. The reason I'm taking the pen to paper (as the saying goes) is becuase it was advised to me. I hope it will improve my writing skills, and perhaps a nugget or two of beauty may be found in the mess of my mind.
InterestsI am interested in a few things, some being: reading, smoking pipe, running, listening to music (which by listening I mean truly listening, not putting some beats on as background noise), dancing, though so I don't put you off I might add being a bumbling dork is my main profession. As I get older I find I dislike more and more things, perhaps indicating my fate as a curmudgeonly old man.
Favorite moviesI am a fan of slow moving movies, hence: drama, foreign, and indie flicks. Action and comedy have their kingdoms as well, but I find it harder to find true quality in all the ruckus. Anime has also found a place in my heart, a fact which has brought me nothing but foul looks and condescending stares. However when the shows are much harder to create it sorts out the directors without passion and the desire to give their vision to the world. Having said that, I would also like to say there is quite a bit of anime which is weird, for there is no other word for it. To that end I do not recommend anime to the feint of heart. It is a hobby requiring discretion and an open mind.
Favorite musicRecently, one would typically find indie bands, art-music, or movie soundtracks on my queue.
Favorite booksHands down, top three: Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis, The Great Divorce by Lewis, and Paradise Lost by John Milton.
