Introduction	Originally the brain-child of John Lynn and Elliot Gallion, Film Society began Fall 2008. While they were in the process of having the organization approved, Lexie Braswell and Jon Ballenger held an event. The presiding faculty member, Dr. Josh Rust, had known that the event went well and that the organizers were film lovers. When they spoke to him about starting a group to do all this on a regular basis, he told them of Gallion and Lynn's work. Then, through a rather messy series of events, the groups merged. Forming the Stetson University Film Appreciation Society.
