| Introduction | Jen was diagnosed with breast cancer on October 8, 2006. A lumpectomy and sentinel node dissection in late October lead to a double mastectomy on November 30, 2006. Jen's daily battles, like so many women's, are inspirational, challenging and many times very funny. In November of 2008 Jen's breast cancer was found to have metastasized on her lumbar spine. So began a new fight. In December 2009, new metastatic activity was found in wide spread area's of Jen's thoracic and cervical vertebrae, along with a spot on her skull. In early 2010 it was determined that the cancer had spread throughout all of Jen's bones. Yet another battle in the war. The details are in these blog posts. |
