Introduction Lloyd Lofthouse is a former United States Marine and a Vietnam Veteran. He taught English/literature, award winning creative writing classes along with award winning journalism and newspaper production classes in the public schools for thirty years. Some of his students won local, regional, state and national awards. At one time Lloyd was a maitre d' for a multi million dollar nightclub. He also tried his hand at counting cards in Las Vegas and won more money than he lost. Now that Lloyd is no longer teaching, he has turned to writing. His novel, My Splendid Concubine, was published in December of 2007. Since My Splendid Concubine came out, Lloyd has been heard on hundreds of radio stations across North America as a China expert on talk shows. Anyone that wants to listen to one or more of these shows can. They are linked from Lloyd's website at www.mysplendidconcubine.com. His current project is to clarify the issue regarding the Tibetan freedom movements. There are four of them. There are also four fundamentalist Islamic separatist movements inside China, and sixteen in the United States.
