Introduction A personal chef and the author of The Recession Cookbook, Anna is passionate about food and the relationships created around the table. She has mastered the art of cooking in a closet-sized kitchen, and now, as an unemployed magazine editor, she is mastering a new art: cooking on a budget. Unlike walking in Manolo's, however, this needn't be painful. The goal of the Recession Cookbook is to show how to live--and eat--well in lean times. Anna studied cooking at La Varenne, in Burgundy, France. Based in New York City, she writes about food and travel for Departures, Sherman's Travel, and Tasting Table, and tests recipes for Real Simple and Martha Stewart.
