| Introduction | This blog is a way to promote our Guild and show photographs of our work. We meet once a month except August, usually on the third Tuesday, from 6.45 till 9.00pm at Horwich Resources Centre. Current fees are £58 00 pa to cover the cost of the 11 evenings. We also hold 3 or 4 Saturday Day Schools which usually cost about £15.00 per day and also play days where we do as it says!!! We have a summer meal a winter Jacobs feast and trips out. We recently took down an exhibition that was in Bolton Library for 3 months.Do come along and meet us-you are assured of a warm welcome and your first visit is free. You can find our programme on the Embroiderers Guild website and on these pages.About me,I am sadly not a founder member but did join during that first year 30 plus years ago.I have been the Librarian,Secretary and Chair. I am still the Bolton GLO and was also a member of the NW Region committee, I recently retired as Chair of the Region. I love all aspects of embroidery but feel that I am a traditionalist, particularly enjoying hand stitching. Val Coleshaw |
