Interests	You already know that I enjoy a bit of kitchen alchemy. Sometimes it's delicious, his eyes widen in delight and the Cook gets a kiss. Other times: the souffle doesn't rise. But I've always loved the possibilities you can create...a little grating of ginger, a flick of chilli, finely chopped garlic...magic! So my cooking adventures continue. I am enthralled by the world of fashion and design and am definitely of the Sex and the City Generation- but more as a study of social expression, because nothing gives me more pleasure than to be potting around in my Kenneth Cole skinnies, a Gap tank and ballet pumps. I don't buy into worshipping the trends, not all the time anyway, and prefer more classic design. I observe the fashion, collect the fashion and make rude comments about the stuff I disapprove of. Then I make a cuppa rooibos and sit back and admire the contents of my closet! :)
Favorite books	Books have been my companions for as long as I can remember and I'll be sure to recommend a few of my favourites as the blog progresses. You'd have to have a worthy bribe (read shoes that could pay the bills!) to convince me to read a John Grisham or similar though. And even then I'd probably refuse.
