| Introduction | I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from Saint Mary's College of California, a BA in Literature from University of California, Santa Cruz, and a teaching credential (English, World History). I taught high school English for 7 years and still occasionally teach a section of college level Composition. All of which is to say, I've read all kinds of writing, at all different stages of the writing process, and from all sorts of writers. One of my greatest pleasures is helping another writer clarify her vision and finding ways to highlight the strengths in her writing. I am currently working with an agent to sell my first novel, a work of historical fiction. My second novel (also historical fiction) is brewing. I also write a weekly book review column for Horse Nation (www.horsenation.com) I specialize in fiction, especially historical fiction, literary fiction, and women’s fiction, but have experience with romance, YA, suspense/thriller, memoir, and academic writing as well. I love writing with strong female characters and a distinctive voice. |
