| Introduction | A retired Deputy Director from the Education Department, Government of Sikkim. He began his journey as a schoolteacher in 1988 and remains a writer at heart. Over a career spanning more than three decades - ten years in the classroom and over 23 years in educational administration - he quitely worked to nurture and reimagine school education in Sikkim. Writing as Dhan Nirdosh Subba, he has authored around 200 articles in Nepali, many of which have travelled across languages. His early literary work, Nirbadh Ujyalaharu (1999), is a collection of modern Nepali short stories. His later writings, under Dhan B. Seling Subba, include Learning in the Hills (Volumes I & II, 2026) and his memoir A Chalk Line on the Wall (2026), reflecting on 33 years in education. His work in education has often drawn strength from the community and other stakeholders through initiatives such as school linkage, going to cluster, print-rich school environment, reading corners, community reading competitions, book donation drives, etc. His contributions have been recognised with several awards, including national award. He holds MA, B.Ed. and DEPA. |
