| Introduction | I am a cancer survivor and on disability. I was diagnosed in June of 2008 with brain cancer. Cancer was found in my lung in 2011. Then again cancer was found in my brain three time in 2013. Treatment was successful and I am in remission. I am the happy father of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi Dog, Katie. I am presently not married and live alone in a small college town. I am a 6th generation North Carolinian and 10th generation American on my father's side. Previously I have been a high school history teacher, Substance Abuse counselor, Family Therapist and a Microsoft Systems Engineer. I hold a B.A. in History (East Carolina University, 1979), a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling (ECU, 1987) and a Doctorate in Child and Family Studies, (University of Georgia, 1996). I am a certified SCUBA diver, racing sailor, and certified fixed wing pilot. I have a a bunch of guitars, a mandolin and a Hofner Bass. |
