Introduction My name is Carmen Swaine, I've spent years compiling recipes in the hopes of one day having my own cookbook to share. I hope these recipes inspire you and enhance your life in the kitchen. If so, be sure to pass it on.
Interests I was trained in Vancouver at Vancouver Community college where after a four year apprenticeship program I received my red seal chef certification. I was then granted a scholarship for the culinary arts program at Dubrulle French Culinary School where I worked alongside leading innovative chefs in the industry. I worked as a chef at Hollyhock Educational Retreat Center, as well as Hui Ho'olana retreat center in Hawaii. My professional experience spans from working in restaurants, catering and teaching cooking classes. I am still enthralled with cooking but working in a restaurant kitchen is relentless and being a mother of three, hard to manage. In the meantime I'm taking great pleasure in documenting the cooking and baking I do from home for my family.
