| Introduction | I have been painting for last 10 years. Previously I used to paint the things that surrounded me. As I progressed in my works, I started concentrating in the things that I represented in my works. This is how I started looking for the stories in the objects that I represent. For instance I represent masks or the lines of my palms or mythological entities. I began to find the stories of such element. Then after finding their stories I unify them with my own memories & experiences. Then what materialized in my canvas is my experiences through the objects that I represent in my canvas. In my works I speak of the subtle presence of mystery that surrounded us i.e- I speak of my own existence in the broader existence of nature. Some experiences or routine and explainable, however some are unexplainable, such as why we are existing and the purpose of our existence. This is how my work deals with the tangible and intangible permanent and impermanent nature of our existence. |
