Introduction | I'm a 35 year old wife and mum of one gorgeous, if somewhat precocious, 12 year old girl. I work in a Museum in the Outback of Western Australia. It's not a demanding job, mainly chatting to visitors, and keeping the place looking respectable. The main challenge we face here is boredom and the heat with temps of 36-46 degrees Celsius from about November to March. I have some Health Issues, being that I had a complete Thyroidectomy in December 05 and then in the middle of last year (08) I was diagnosed with two stomach ulcers. So I take two types of medication daily, Thyroxine for thyroid hormone and Somac to lower my stomach acid and help prevent me from getting very painful indigestion - not fun! Hopefully the medications won't interfere too badly with my weight loss mission. Yup you heard it, I'm on a mission. The aim of this blog is to share my journey, to record my results good and bad, to motivate me when the need arises and if worse comes to worse shame me into action because there is no turning back now, it is out here for the world to see. *SCARY* |
