Introduction Geoff Schutt is based on Boston's North Shore, in Salem, Mass. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, his short fiction has been published in numerous journals since 1990, including Gordon Lish's The Quarterly (Random House/Vintage Books), The Laurel Review, The Best of Writers at Work, The Double Dealer (The Faulkner Society, New Orleans), and The Wastelands Review, among others, and internationally at In Other Words: Merida. His short fiction has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. He has been awarded grants for fiction-as-performance art, featuring interactive storytelling. Favorite Music Wide range, from Leonard Cohen to Tom Waits, Nick Cave to The Pogues, Gogol Bordello to Louis Armstrong to 1920s jazz, Daniel Lanois to Maria Callas to Edith Piaf ... well, you get the idea.
Favorite Books The Great Gatsby is tops. But any book that can touch me in some way makes the list.
