| Introduction | I'm a recovered (85%) survivor of Guillian-Barre' Syndrome. My event began in April of 1999 and lasted 4.5 mos. in hospitals and another 10 mos. 'til I felt well enough to be out and about by myself. My wife was an excellent caregiver, without whom I would never have survived. She and I now live and work at a religious-based youth and family camp. I'm a fulltime 2nd-shift security ranger and she's a parttime receptionist. I plan to retire by the end of this year (2008). |
