| Introduction | Some would say that I enjoy fishing, but they would be wrong. Fishing for me is an escape where I can be with nature the way God intended. It is not just a hobbie it’s a past time that reminds me that there is more to “making it in life” than a great job and perfect family. I love fishing ponds, weather they are large or only a couple acres. I only have a couple requirements. They have to have a no wake speed limit. They have to have more than bluegill and catfish. The more bass the better and the more cover and grass the better. My goal is to explore the most ponds I can get to. To share what I know about pond fishing and what I learn about pond fishing. I am in my mid twenties, I’m from central Nebraska, I have a small 12 foot Jon style boat with an electric motor and my favorite type of fishing is fishing early spring for big northern pike. I have been fishing for as long as I can remember. My father and grand father taught me from a very young age to troll around for white bass and walleye, but the cast and retrieve, bass style, small pond fishing has been self taught within the last few years. |
