| Introduction | I started my construction career in 1987 building timber frame homes. It was an omen that the first timber frame project I did had a masonry heater in it. I have been designing, selling, and building masonry heaters since 1998, though I built my first one in 1994. Like many, I started our building "kit" heaters. Even today our primary business at the Masonry Heater Store, LLC is the Tulikivi line of manufactured soapstone masonry heaters. I caught the bug, however, and now design and build heaters of every shape and size, for those who want something uniquely their own.
