Introduction	The idea for this blog (or "virtual church") grew from a Facebook quiz, "What Planet are You From?" I joked that I was going to start a new ministry, "Mars Christian Church"... and then I thought, "Hey, this might work!" So... welcome to Jacob's Well. In John's gospel, Jesus initiated a conversation at Jacob's Well with a Samaritan woman. It was a progressive, revolutionary act, because Jews (in theory) had nothing to do with Samaritans, and men (again in theory) did not talk with women. The woman was just as bold, challenging the rabbi and asking questions, both actions that conflicted with her expected role in society. So, like Jesus and the Samaritan woman, let's dialog!
