| Introduction | Forty years as a pulpit rabbi helped me understand the Jewish community in a unique way. The opportunity to visit with leadership and community supporters allowed the voices of both lay and professionals to establish a place in my thoughts that colored my own perspective. I’ve stood by the side of Presidents of major Jewish organizations and listened to them speak of their dreams and disappointments. I’ve had the opportunity to speak with political leaders including Presidents of the United States and listened to them speak of their abiding respect for the Jewish Community and their frustration with the Middle-east conflict. I’ve watched the change in the Jewish Community and it’s identity. I’ve watch the religious community move right and left abandoning the center. This blog is an expression of my reaction to events in today’s world from the perspective of a student interested in what tomorrow will bring. Ever hopeful that good things are on the horizon. |
