| Introduction | I am 18 years old and graduated from McCallum High School back in June. I consider myself a Democrat and have been very active in politics all my life. My father was the president of the West Austin Democrats, a group of people living in the West Austin Area who consider themselves democrat and are politically active. Through such connections I have met people like Eddie Rodriguez (House of Representatives), Donna Howard, Bruce Elfant and others. I was "Paige For a Day" twice when I was a kid at the State Capitol. My political roles models would definitely be Eleanor Roosevelt and Abagail Adams, they were pretty cool ladies. I didn't do very well on the General Knowledge and Political Knowledge quizzes in my Texas State and Local Government class at Austin Community College Northridge in Austin, Texas. I am taking the class to improve my knowledge in such areas and I hope to get out of it a better understanding of Texas and its political happenings. My political typology is a solid liberal, something I have in common with 14% of the population. |
