Introduction	I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have no authority in the Church and nothing I write is intended to be authoritative in any way. In the early 1990’s, after a long season of seeking, I experienced the birth of the Spirit as taught in the Book of Mormon, and a couple of years ago I experienced a sort of “rebirth” of the Spirit. Through those experiences and others, I have faith in the reality of Jesus Christ because He changed my heart – my way of being - in a fundamental way. I cannot tell you yet that I “know” He lives, because I’ve not yet felt the tokens that prove, in this mortal sphere, that fact, but I have entered the “gate” that leads back to Him and I can tell you that the gate is real – having entered through it, I am not the man I was; and if the gate is real, then the One to whom the gate and its path lead is also real, and the invitation to come unto Christ in this life is real, too.
