| Introduction | I am a self-taught, mixed media artist living in Sandston Virginia. I share my crazy home life with my love and soul-mate, Kenny. We have been together over 35 years! I have always been enticed by paper, images and words and one day stumbled upon an issue of Somerset Studio and it was as if a whole new world evolved for me! Somerset Studio represented the art that I had within me for so long. I was so excited to find that there was a whole community of other artists just like me! It was then that I found my true heart for art and discovered that the limits to it were boundless! I spend as much precious time as possible creating and learning the new trends in this art genre but attempt to manage my real life and real job while doing so! Thus the reason for this blog "Managing Life & Art" as it is the challenge This is the challenge I face everyday! Trying to squeeze a drop or two out to create something pretty, haunting or maybe even funky! In Norma Jean's dreamland, I don't leave this place that I love everyday, but dwell in my wonderful but cluttered art spot, creating the pretty, altered, renewed and reborn pieces that are my art. |
