| Introduction | Greetings fellow Addicks! I'm not like you! I'm not from Charlton or even South East London. I didn't have family or friends who followed the Addicks. My story is one of destiny and a lonely, gradually deepening love affair that began as a young kid obsessed with football stadia (in particular, The Valley). And so it began, a natural draw to Charlton Athletic that started with following results and ended with my first 'pilgrimage' to the Valley on a cold and windy day in late '94. We played terribly and lost the game 2-1....but I was hooked! Over two decades later on I'm still on the emotional roller-coaster, East Stand season ticket holder and most importantly, proud to be an Addick! |
