Introduction	Alas, the Mistress is just someone's grandmother. In September 2007, I had my job downsized. For a while after that, I was working part time; the doctor says I cannot work full time again. Now in May 2008 I am seeking a solid part-time position...lol. Do they make them? I have demyelinating disease NOS, as a result my life has changed; I have been living simply to adjust as gracefully as possible. I enjoy it tremendously! It has turned out to be a great experience. By the way, I love to sit by the outside fire in the evenings and that is where I got my screen name. Sign me, Living Simply in Small Town America, M
Interests	I love movies based on true stories and life-changing experiences, etc. Rug hooking, walking the Appalachian Trail, see the ocean again, being a self-sufficient individual, and remaining happy in these changing times.
Favorite movies	Gone with the Wind, 8 Below, Dragonfly, and Happy Feet, Ice Age, and Monsters, Inc. (I just love when the little girl chases Sully saying, "Here Kitty, Kitty...")
Favorite music	The Irish Descendants, Shania Twain, Leahy ( especially "Call to Dance"), and the Rankin Family.
Favorite books	North and South, At Home in Mitford, God's Joyful Surprise, and Lasagna Gardening.
