Introduction	I was raised in Burnaby, BC, Canada (near Vancouver). I have lived most of my adult life in small and mid-sized towns. I prefer the mid-sized town to the small town or the large city.
Interests	Reading biographies, novels, magazines,short stories. Writing essays. Studying. Swimming. Music (Classical, Easy Listening, Motown, some Country and Folk, some types of Jazz (big band swing), Ragtime. Taking photographs. Conversation. Walking.
Favorite movies	I enjoy many movies - I like Hugh Grant, Paul Newman, John Thaw, Jeremy Brett to name a few male stars. I like drama best.
Favorite music	Classical - Meditation from Thais, Pavanne for a Dead Princess, Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana, Traumerei. (I really am a hopeless Romantic). Many of Chopins pieces for piano. Favourite instrument is the piano. Clarinet, oboe, and French Horn are close seconds. English horn too. I like the violin too.
Favorite books	I enjoy books by Canadian authors such as Gail Anderson-Dargatz and Margaret Atwood.
