Introduction | The impact of my life on this earth can only be appreciated by my wife of 38 years, a son 35, a daughter 32, four grandchildren two boys and two girls 3, 7, 8 and 9 respectively. And the few number of very, very close friends one comes by in his 58 years and most importantly members of the Christian community. Unfortunately, on March 31, 1996, after 23 years as an Environmental Manager for the State of South Carolina the first of two heart attacks sent me into disability and a forced retirement. Less than a year later fate intervened again with a Mayo Clinic diagnosis of a rare brain disease. Names that come to mind when thinking of myself are religious, bad temper, loving, irritable, personable, political, self-pity, tenacious and as my first cousin likes to say, fiesty. |
