Introduction	My personal journey in specialty coffee started in 1990 with converting an old cape-cod house in Newberg, Oregon into a coffee shop. Today, this shop continues to thrive as a community landmark and meeting place. After a trip to Costa Rica in 1995, I concluded that in order to pass along the integrity of this product, I must become a Coffee Roaster, thus the birth of “Caravan Coffee.” I love the fact that I find myself in the middle of this coffee industry where we connect the dots of product, “seed” to “cup”, as well as the people, “farmer” to “consumer.” The name, “Caravan Coffee”, represents my on-going journey in seeking out the world for the finest treasures.
