| Introduction | The first book I ever wrote was a very thin volume of illustrated non-fiction about my personal experience breeding rabbits; I was fourteen at the time: I still have this book today. I progressed over the next couple of years thinking 'I'm going to write a novel!' I excitedly drafted one chapter and a prologue, then forgot all about it. However, I did become a writer. I have three published works; an illustrated walker's guide to the city (Dundee); an illustrated volume of short stories based on historical facts and lore of Dundee; and a social history booklet (Stobswell). I am currently writing a novel; women's fiction - satire, psychological. |

If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?
Oh, I think I will be sent to walk the plank, because I would definitely laugh.
