Introduction	How many shades of grey are there? Plenty, when you look carefully. This is a space for wandering and casting a glance into my garden. You will find thoughts on making things, learning the violin, thinking, art, music, poetry and of course plants. I am no lover of lawns, and a weed is just a plant in the wrong place.
Interests	sowing seeds and making compost are top of my gardening list, looking into the tops of trees instead of at the ground helps,the smell of linseed oil, coffee, yorkshire tea
