| Introduction | Karin Lee 李嘉慈 Vancouverite Karin Lee is a Canadian Academy Award (Gemini) winning filmmaker who has been making film and video works for the last 20 years and has exhibited in galleries and festivals around the world, including London, Taipei, Leipzig, Los Angeles and New York. Raised as a Red Diaper baby by her socialist parents, Lee’s films explore the history of the Chinese diaspora in North America and feminism in China. She is involved in collaborative community events which reclaim Asian Canadian history and our relationships with First Nations and Indigenous people. |
