About me

Introduction We are an adventurous Kiwi couple who left New Zealand in 2004 for an unknown and unpredictable life at sea. We worked in the superyacht industry for 18 months before buying our own yacht Bandit in Gibraltar. We spent five years in the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic. After spending four months in the aptly named Windward Islands we sailed to the offshore Venezuelan islands, then Bonaire and Curacao to Cartegena in Colombia. From there we headed up to Guatemala where we left Bandit and backpacked through central America. In summer 2013 we headed to Belize, Mexico and Cuba then up the east coast of the US - having a fantastic time everywhere. In March 2014 we transited the Panama Canal and headed to the amazing Galapagos Islands. From there it was all downhill across the Pacific to New Zealand, via the Marquesas, Tuamotos, Tahiti, Cook Islands, Nuie and Tonga. Bandit is now safely in our home marina at Waikawa but our wanderlust hasn't ceased. We're travellers at heart - watch this space!
