| Introduction | I am a wife and mother to two beuatiful children, my son Vir was born on 29th June 2002 and my daughter Saira was born on 21st July 2008. Saira was born with an extra 21st chromosone aka Down Syndrome which naturally came as a huge surprise to us. She has extreme hypotonia, high myopia, hearing loss in one ear and is hypothyroid but all of these are just a part of her and do not define what she is. Her birth has changed my life forever, for the better, I have understood the term unconditional love, I learn everyday about patience, tolerance and how even the smallest things in life should never be taken for granted. This blog is about our life, the joys and struggles of bringing up a daughter with Special Needs and a school going son who keeps us all on our toes..... |
