Introduction | I'm 20, studying maths at the University of Nottingham and attempting to figure out which area of finance I want to work in and how to get my foot in the door. I am interested in most things. I read incessantly. I love information, synthesising, analysis and generally playing around with equations and models. Of particular interest: Economics, Politics, Business, Investment theory and generally anything about what makes people tick and what makes the world go round. My email is zak.michael.armstrong@outlook.com, my facebook profile is here http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=724127205 and I wish you all good luck in the impossible task of trying to understand the world. |
Interests | Politics, Current Affairs, Economics, Mathematics, Chess, Debating, systems in general (be they cultural, political, economic, mechanical or otherwise) |
Favorite Movies | Truly far too many to name, but just in general, I can't stand films which aren't internally consistent, I can't help but notice and it always spoils the experience. |
Favorite Music | Tend not to have specific bands or artists or genres which I always like. I just listen to tracks, keep track of the ones I like and try and keep it all somewhat organised. That said, I tend far more to like Drum and Bass than anything else at the moment, Camo and Krooked, Nu:tone, Logistics, Pendulum and Coldplay have rarely disappointed and for some reason I don't seem to find Justin Bieber half as annoying as everyone else, I can certainly think of worse artists. |
Favorite Books | I could be here all day listing my favourite books so I'll stick to generalisations. I like science fiction, particularly a lot of the older stuff from the likes of Asimov/Heinlein/Niven etc. I like anything factual and informative. I also like non-academic books on economics and politics. Chuck in some fantasy/adventure and teen literature (something along the lines of the alex rider/darren shan/maximum ride books)and that's about it. |
