Introduction	Peter Eichstaedt is a veteran journalist and author dedicated to revealing the stories behind the world's worst human rights tragedies around the world. He is the former country director in Afghanistan and former Africa Editor for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting. He has lived and worked in the Balkans, eastern Europe, Afghanistan, and eastern Africa, as well as The Hague, Netherlands, where he covered African war crimes trials.
