| Introduction | I was born in the city of New York into a wealthy and prestigious family. I married young, divorced after 28 years, and settled down with my lover. I am also an ardent supporter of the French Imperialists and have come to call France my home. As for my craft, I am a writer. You may have heard of my novels "The House of Mirth" and the Pulitzer Prize-winning "The Age of Innocence" as well as my wide library of short stories. I am quite fond of my ghost stories in particular. Also I am on good terms with Theodore Roosevelt, Upton Sinclair, and other literary dignitaries. |
