| Introduction | My husband Paul and I arrived in Orange 18 years ago after leaving Scotland. We were actually passing through Orange and decided to stop overnight as our children were restless. Needless to say we didn't move on and Orange became our home. We arrived in Orange with two children and another on the way it didn't take long for us to meet up with other parents and develop friendships that we still hold dear to us today. We love family life and wouldn't swap it for the world, which is quite unique given that we now have six children in Australia and two more children overseas. Six months ago we also became Foster Parents and find this role very rewarding. We also have three grandchildren and feel very blessed. I would love to hear from anyone out there interested in Local Government or from people who may be considering running for Council in the next election. We definiantly need more women Councillors and I would be happy to help with any tips you may require.
