Introduction	I'm a photographer and sometimes painter. Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It runs in the family. My mother was an artist, and my grandfather did some folk sculptures, so I was always surrounded by art and supplies. I began doodling people and scenes as soon as I could hold a pencil up and started into photography in the 5th grade when I bought a Mini Shot 110 at a drugstore. I took that thing to camp that year and never looked back. And yes, I still have the photos from that first roll of film that was solely my own. Five years ago I was reintroduced to film photography and my world hasn't been the same. I'm a believer in the magic of a photograph, of the nostalgia of physical proof that can be held and felt. I now have a collection of vintage cameras and a variety of films. I never leave the house without one or two camera options at my side. Through my photographs I document moments big and small, dream up new possibilities, and deconstruct reality. I also occasionally do other artsy things, like paint, collage, or sew.
