| Introduction | I'm a mom of 2 boys, one of whom has Short Bowel Syndrome due to gastroschisis and also newly diagnosed with Crohns Disease. He deals with the affects of that every day of his life. I hope reading his story and the stories of those around him will help you feel less alone in a world of unknowns. Each case of gastrochisis and SBS is different. When I 1st found out about Josh's birth defect I was just 21, and could find no information to help me. Now through the miracle of internet, facebook, & blogs, I've been connected with SO many other families who share my story. I now work with a NPO for gastroschisis called Avery's Angels (R) Gastroschisis Foundation and have found such support there. I hope to keep you up with our story, although I'm not always the best with blogs. ;) Heres hoping!
