Introduction	Hey. I'm Caitlin. I introduce myself most often these days as "mother to Maggie and Jane". Those two amazing creatures are the cream in my coffee. Their father, my husband, has been my best friend since 1997 (yes that makes us high school sweethearts). Fairy tales got nothin on the real thing. I love to cook, but stick within the safe zone of recipe improvisation. I love a clean house, but my kitchen is more than often a disaster. I love healthy eating, but I love chocolate more. I love to exercise, but I don't love finding time for it. I love photography, but too many of my shots are out of focus. I love being a wife, but I could be kinder to my partner. I love being a mother, but I could benefit from a little more patience. This blog shall stand as a record of who I am, what I do and how I do it. It's a conduit to connect me to my tribes: mothers, photographers, cooks, wives. It's also a testament to my continuing efforts to grow and change and become my best self. I am a soup; cooked slowly and getting better over time.
