About me

Introduction	I have fond memories of rearranging furniture, moving shelves, and organizing things in my room. As a child I would measure all of the furniture, plot it to scale on graph paper, and then sketch new arrangements to determine their practicality. While some thought this unnecessary, to me the arrangement of elements in a design was and still is like solving a puzzle. That is why I love landscape architecture. As a horticulture student, I have acquired a firm knowledge of the elements and principles of design. I have excelled in the following key courses: Advanced Landscape Design, Plant Identification, Construction Materials, and even Floral Design. Proficiencies in landscape materials, time management, bids, meeting deadlines, communicating, and working as a team, are common place for me now. I am currently in a Masters Degree program seeking the expertise and training necessary to become a certified landscape architect. Ideally, my future employment would be at a design/build firm or company. I have a natural aptitude for budgeting, computer aided construction documents, and design. I hope that this firm would allow me to play to those strengths and develop new skills.
