| Introduction | I was raised in the south and more importantly raised with a southern frame of mind. It was only by happenstance that I met and married my Latin husband, Carlos, who is Colombian by blood and Puerto Rican by culture. Thanks to one of my childhood friends and her choice of husbands, Carlos and I met, fell in love, then decided to bridge the culture gap and get married. It’s kind of odd though...there are actually three of us (all childhood friends)that grew up and married three brothers. Three friends married to three brothers…weird. This blog is my outlet for frustration, elation and funny stories about relationships, especially those relationships involving different cultures. I hope you enjoy these accounts of misunderstandings and social faux paus as much as we enjoy this not so perfect culturally diverse marriage. Adios! Staci Z. |
