Introduction Guelph Reads is a debate among book lovers who want to figure out what book all of Guelph should read this year. Politician and writer Tom King is defending Urban Meltdown, by Clive Doucet. AIDS activist Anne-Marie Zajdlik is arguing for 28: Stories of AIDS in Africa, by Stephanie Nolen. Librarian Norm McLeod is promoting Walden, by Henry David Thoreau. Novelist Rozena Maart is defending I Write What I Like, by Steve Biko. The debate will be moderated by Mercury editor Phil Andrews. Voting, and a reception, will follow. April 26, 7-10 p.m., Guelph Youth Music Centre. For more information, go to guelphreads.org.
