Introduction	I am a Kansas girl and the mom of three: boy-girl-boy. Born in 1973 (you do the math!). Happily married for 13 years to my post-college roommate and best friend. I studied English and Psychology at the University of Kansas and worked in publishing for nine years before we were blessed with a son in 2005. A daughter followed in late '08 and Baby S debuted in 2011. Words make me happy. That was going to be the name of the blog but somebody else took it. But the phrase “perfectly imperfect” resonates with me. It always has. It reminds me that we were made in His image – a beautiful, miraculous creation but with mortal shortcomings. It alludes to the beauty in our flaws. Our vulnerabilities. Our humanity. On Pentecost Sunday, our pastor asked us to pray about gifts (our own and others’) and to ask Him to help us use them. I love language, fonts, serial commas, … the whole lot of it. I’ve neglected this part of my identity lately. So, it’s time to get crackin’! Even if no one reads what I’ve written but me.
