Introduction	I've been writing a weekly newspaper column since 1996. My first book, "Parables from the Pond," was published in 2008 (Word Alive Press). Although primarily written for kids, it is being read by all ages. My second book, "Raise Your Gaze -- Mindful Musings of a Grateful Heart" (2014) was published by Angel Hope Publishing. I also write short fiction, short biographical and biblical character sketches, human interest stories, and compose worship songs/poetry. I seek to raise the gaze of my readers--to encourage a spirit of gratitude and promote thanksgiving; to elevate the focus from the natural to the spiritual, from the temporal to the eternal, hoping they may see that God has provided redemption for our eternal welfare, to be received and enjoyed by faith in His Son.
