| Introduction | Howdy! My name is Ashley Breanne Waggoner. I'm a 29-(until February 3, 2010,at least!)year-old community college English instructor and graduate student at Eastern Illinois University from Olney, IL. I've lived all over this great country of ours and spent my formative years in the Lone Star State, something I'm very proud of. Anyway, in addition to being an educator and student, I'm also a writer, activist, and future progressive politician (not necessarily an oxymoron!). President Barack Obama, Abraham Lincoln,Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine,Benjamin Franklin, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, Louisa May Alcott,William Blake,Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Mark Twain, Ann Richards,Eleanor Roosevelt, Lady Bird Johnson, Steve Wozniak, Robert F. Kennedy, John Lennon, Allen Ginsberg, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, MLK Jr., Jimmy Carter,Johannes Gutenberg,Mother Teresa,Christ(the ultimate rebel with a radical cause: peace!),and Gandhi are among my many personal heroes. Most importantly, I want to send my message and good vibes out to the world. I encourage y'all to check out this blog and provide me with your feedback and opinions. Ahh...ain't democracy great?! |

| Favorite movies | Wow! That's a tough one. Okay, I like films that have lots of dynamic characters and deep storylines. Lonesome Dove and The Deer Hunter are two titles that come to mind. I also like fun, fluffy, romantic fare like Elizabethtown. I also love films like Forrest Gump-- the ones you can watch over and over again and never seem to grow tired of. |
| Favorite music | The Beatles, Dylan, Bob Marley, Madonna, alternative, 80s/90s rock, Austin City Limits-type stuff, too many other artists to mention here |
| Favorite books | Dang, where do I begin? My all-time favorite book is Harper Lee's 1960 classic, To Kill A Mockingbird. I love this book so much that my first-born daughter will be named Harper! |
