| Introduction | I was born in Inverness in Scotland and lived there until I was 16, moving to Keith for my final 2 years at school. After getting a degree in Physics at Aberdeen University, I moved to Edinburgh where I became a qualified accountant. I went off to Iran in 1978 and found myself working in Tehran in the middle of the Iranian Revolution. Finally I had to leave and after a wonderful year in Australia, I ended up in London. I have been here ever since which is about 30 years. I have just retired from work at the Association for Geographic Information. Recently I moved home and live in Hertford. I play golf and tennis, enjoy the theatre and love travelling, especially to our house in Andalucia where we spend six months each year. |
